TheRacerex has uploaded a tutorial video on how to Sync Gmail Calendar and Contacts on Symbian^3 devices. Also, review of different methods that you can use to access your GMAIL email on the N8.

For Calendar Sync: Settings>Phone>Mail>Mail for Exchange and pop in your details. Email, Password, put user name as the email and then MfE server as m.gogle.com.  I can’t seem to get calendar to Sync. A long route to get your gmail info is to export from gmail and import into ovi calendar (and sync via ovi Calendar).

If you often getting the certificate error message when installing some applications on your Nokia Symbian phone, it means the applications is unsigned or haven’t been approved by Symbian foundation so you have to get the application signed before install it to your device. Actualy there are 2 ways to install unsigned application.

First way is hack your phone which i don’t recommend you to do that, and the second one is remove the ‘signed’ restriction by get a certificate dan key for your phone, and then sign each application individually (Recommended).

The best site to get certicate and key is cer.opda.cn, in this site you can request your certificates for free, just register for an account first and you’ll need to login then click the ‘Apply Cer’ button to submit your certificate request.

Fill the blank field with your detail (Phone model, IMEI) for moderation. Click image below to see the form.

Once you have submitted the request, you need to await 1 or 2 days until your certificate and key are ready. When your status is Normal it means your certificate is ready to use. There are 2 ways to sign the application after your cer & key are ready, you can download SignSISTool.zip to sign it offline in your PC, or you can click ‘signing’ link to sign it online. See image below (click to enlarge)

Please refer this article if your friends have problem on “certificate error” message or how to sign unsigned application.
