Nokia E71 has just get a new firmware version 501.21.001 brings usability and performance improvements including bugs fixes on contact retailer backup and restore issue, new version of music player and ovi store, Ovi Maps 3.03 Lite with free navigation and now supports office 2007. The update available via OTA (Over-The-Air) or by using Windows PC applications Nokia’s Software Updater or Ovi Suite . The Nokia E71 does have UDP (User Data Preservation), but its always good idea to backup all of your personal data before updating the device firmware.

A firmware update v30.0.003 has just released by Nokia for the Nokia X6.The update comes with some improvements in browser and chat in Ovi Contacts, new version of Ovi Maps & Ovi Store and also Here and Now: Pre-installed on device. You can update to this version via OTA or NSU (Nokia Software Updater), make sure you back up your X6 through your computer (Nokia PC suite or Ovi Suite) before doing the update.
